Nha Trang Gulf: VINPEARL
If you are headed to Vietnam, make the trip over to Nha Trang Gulf: VINPEARL, the 2015 winner of “Most Attractive Amusement Park (2015) by the Vietnam Tourism Association, has one fabulous new feature. Just getting there is an adventure, First, you’ll take a 3320m ride on the world’s longest sea-crossing cable car to get to Vinpearl Land Nha Trang.
There are the usual amusement attractions, but with a twist. The Mine Adventure roller coaster takes visitors screaming through an actual old mine. You can hop on one of the waterslides, like the Boomerang, that makes you feel as though you are falling 21 meters. But the latest addition is WibitTAG, a floating play space that forms the letters “Vinpearl” when viewed from above.
These modular play products encourage running, balancing, jumping, sliding, and climbing. At 132 meters long and 32 meters wide, it’s no small thing. In fact, the new VINPEARL water playground can hold more than 450 people at once due to the 160 separate inflatable items that are put in the water, joined together, and kept in place using concrete blocks.
Amazingly enough, it only took six months to go from idea to reality. German company Wibit Sports crafted a 3D model, shipped the product and equipment to Vietnam, then got to work on the installation. It took six technicians, divers, and helpers five days to set up the “massive message on the water.”
Now it’s a unique floating playground that adds another dimension of play at Vinpearl. Add it to your “must see” list of things to do in Vietnam.

Now that’s an expensive taco. The world’s most expensive taco and a shot of Tequila Ley .925 garnered $27,960 for the Los Cabos Children’s Foundation last Friday at Grand Velas Los Cabos’ Sip & Savor event.
Offered at $25K at Frida, Grand Velas Los Cabos restaurant, the taco features a soft corn tortilla made with gold flakes, then filled with Kobe beef, lobster, black truffle brie cheese, Almas Beluga caviar, and a dried Morita pepper salsa that also includes the Ley .925 tequila and kopi luwak (a coffee made from partially-digested cherries gathered from the excrement of the civet, a wild cat found throughout Asia).
Ley Diamante is 3.725 kilos of .925 pure platinum and 4100 diamonds totaling 328.59 karats worth 3.5 million dollars. The bottle alone took ten months to craft. It weighs close to eighteen pounds and is filled with extra aged tequila, a blend of three, six, and nine-year-old tequila from white oak barrels, 100% agave and is 42% alcohol (84 proof). It is grown on the company’s Los Altos de Jalisco Plantations.
